Community Outreach

The mandate of the Missions and Evangelism Committee is to organize means by which the congregation can reach out to the community.  'Trinity' offers the following programs by which we reach out to the immediate community, as well as communities around the world.

Prepare to blast off into an exciting week of fun and discovery! Genesis 1: Space Probe launches young “Astronauts” on an action-packed mission in search of the Creator and Lord of the Universe! Click here to read more and to download a registration form.

  • Participation House Worship Service

We conduct a worship service in Participation House on the last Sunday of every month.  Participation House is a communal home located just outside Binbrook, which provides non-medical support services to individuals with a physical disability or traumatic brain injury.

The purpose of this worship service is to share with the residents the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  During the service we pray and read from Scripture, and a small talk is presented about a relevant topic (e.g. Prayer, Bible Reading, Easter, Christmas, etc.).  Surrounding this is a lot of singing, something that the residents enjoy very much.

  • Coffee Break

This women’s study group meets at the church building on 32 Unity Road every other Tuesday morning from 9:30 - 11:30, studying in small groups in a casual setting. Coffee break is a place for women of all ages and circumstances to read and discuss the Bible and learn about God, life, and relationships.
A nursery is provided for little children.  You can download a pamphlet about Coffee Break by clicking here.

  • Pre-school Story Hour (ages 2 - 5)

During the Women’s Coffee break, a pre-school story hour is available for children aged 2 – 5, where they learn Bible stories and songs and do crafts.

  • Newspaper Articles

For a number of a years, an article discussing a topic of a Reformed Christian nature was published in each issue of the Glanbrook Gazette, the local newspaper. These articles were published under the title 'Faith Talk'.  Click here to view an archive of past articles.

  • Mission

Our congregation supports the work of Streetlight Ministries, a local mission initiative in the downtown Hamilton core.  The prime focus of Streetlight Ministries is to reach out to inner-city residents.

On an international front, we support the work of mission in the city of Maceio in Brazil.
